Mt. Kenya Circuit is a major destination in Kenya. It is part of the Central Tourist Circuit including the Aberdare National Park, and the lower savannah wildlife areas in the Laikipia County and beyond. Mt. Kenya is also a water tower, a cultural heritage, has a historical significance, and a major natural resource to the local, regional and national Kenyan community. Mt. Kenya is also endowed with rich biodiversity, has unique natural characteristics, landscapes, glaciers, climate, and other geographical features that have led to it being enlisted by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site under the natural category (UNESCO, 2013). These characteristics also make the mountain a major tourist destination where both local and international tourists visit to take part in various mountain tourism activities including mountain climbing, wildlife viewing, fishing, site-seeing, hiking, canoeing, golfing, adventure tourism, among others.
