Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today you will be picked by our guide from your accommodation in Kampala after which you embark on your journey to the famous Bwindi impenetrable National park, a journey that crosses the equator line. This park is mostly famous for the rare mountain gorillas and the drive to the park is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside & hills which characterize so much of south western Uganda. Once you are in the forest park, it is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa and the diversity of species is a feature of the park. It provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species. Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Forest
Today you go to track the rare mountain gorillas. After a briefing from your ranger guide, begin tracking the mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This gorilla tracking can take a couple of hours or a whole day depending on the location of the apes. Keep an eye out for forest species such as buffaloes, elephants, black fronted dickers and bush bucks. NB don’t forget to carry your packed lunches. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species, they share it with. Coming face to face with these Gorillas is the most amazing experience you can ever have, After Tracking you will go for a rest and have a local community experience on your way to the Hotel.

Day 3: Drive back to Kampala, Visit the Equator
After breakfast, drive (8-10 hours drive) back to Kampala with a stopover for lunch en-route and the equator if you happened to miss it on your first day of your trip. At this point, there are two cement circles marking the equator line and it is worth stopping if you are traveling to Masaka or Kampala for a photo moment. Also watch a demonstration by local entrepreneur on how water swirls in opposite directions in the northern & southern hemispheres at the equator line. Another reason that makes the equator worthwhile stop are the great shopping bargains. The point has got several craft shops and art galleries run by individuals and organizations. These craft stalls sell souvenirs and handmade products while some with marks talking about the Equator. It will not be inconveniencing if you bought a T-shirt with words ‘I crossed the Uganda Equator’ Continue with your journey, the driver will drop you at your accommodation either in Kampala or Entebbe as you may wish.
